NEW SITE

OK ok so this blog seems to be very neglected. I have no intentions of updating this site from now on (4.24.09). I have just returned from Ireland, started a different blog, a more convenient blog, that has documented most of the trip, but it still isn't even close to what I expect a blog to hold. I guess I am just not a blawger.. But this has also showed me something else.. I now realize the differences between a blog and a website and trying to make a blog a website is a recipe for disaster. SO once my friend Ben gets back from traveling in a week or so, Im hoping he can set me up with a good domain name and a user-friendly site. Once that is squared away, then Ill consider making an interesting blog that is actually active. Sorry to anyone and everyone who has ever continuously checked in to this site expecting something new to be here.
That must have been a long wait.

UPDATE for the blawgers

I haven't updated this blog in a while so I figured I would try to bring youall up to date. Last summer I worked at Valleyfair drawing caricatures everyday. It was a great experience and I drastically improved my drawing ability. Although I dont plan on pursuing caricatures in my future work. Over the the course of the summer, on my off-time from Valleyfair I spent time at the beach, biked around the city, and found a new place to live. Now that summer is over and school is in full swing I usually spend my time at the school in my studio. So far this semester I have been enthused to implement the skills I gained from this summer to my current work, I passed my junior review, and decided that I am going to study abroad in Ireland at the Burren College of Art in Ballyvaughan. I have lacked in sleep since the start of the semester, but thats completely normal. I plan on uploading pictures soon so if you haven't dropped this blog yet.. hang in there!

Areas between Nicollet and First Ave

I noticed that walking in the cold from one place to another, I am not as observant of the areas I live around.. I think that might have something to do with the winter, but it also might be that when I'm walking through these alleys I usually have a destination.. so one sunday afternoon I began walking aimlessly through these alleys with my camera and this what I found within a block of my apartment building.
